Moab
We love Moab! We love it, we love it, we love it! I believe it’s the best place to mountain bike. Ryan and I got out mountain bikes about 4 years ago try to do as much biking as we can each spring and summer. We always make sure to do at least one Moab trip too. We like to bike Moab in spring because it isn’t as crowded and it’s cooler. The morning starts out cold but by the afternoon the weather is perfect and we’re not sweating like crazy. Now I will share a secret with you but you must promise not to share it with anyone else. Promise? Okay here it is: When we go to Moab we don’t like to stay in Moab because it is always expensive. Well where do we stay? Why in Green River of course! It’s a short 30 minute drive and we have found the best digs in all of mideast Utah to shack up – Bestwestern Green River. Yep! You read it here folks…it’s the best location in that area. It feels just like being at Grandma and Grandpa’s house and the rooms look like the Grandparent’s house too! No joke. And what do Grandparents do best? They make the most delicious food, right? Right! Bestwestern has the most delicious breakfast and it’s included. They have everything a normal continental breakfast would have but their cinnamon rolls are homemade goodness and their eggs are cooked to order. I promise the eggs come from a golden chicken because they taste so good! They also make a yearly or so pilgrimage to New Mexico to get the best salsa and spices to flavor your eggs. I’m not kidding when I was the best. I mean it! So I’ve now gone off on a major food and shelter tangent and need to focus back on mountain biking…
Ok so every year we’ve gone biking in Moab we’ve done different trails. But the one I remember best and had a major love/hate relationship with is this 25 or so mile trail we did that started us by the entrance of Arches and ended us at the entrance of Arches. It was one major, gigantic loop and very tough. It was a 6 hour or so bike experience. This is link to trail here: Arches Loop. I loved it. It was an epic biking experience and it was the trail on which I learned I needed a more cushiony bike seat. Another year we did all the Brand Trails which was fun and we’ve also done Bartlett Wash which was like epic slickrock. For a list of all the great Moab Biking Trails click on this.
We didn’t get to go to Moab last year as I was pregnant and humongous and miserable but I hope we can do it this summer. Maybe Liam can ride tandem with Ryan?? Who knows.

So I don’t personally bike, but Clint does and we got Addie this seat for Christmas. I don’t know how big Liam is now, but this is a really good one!

Thanks for sending that link Jenna. That looks like a great carrier. Liam is a big boy. Even though he’s almost 7 months old he is as big as my friend’s 10 month old son!!
