Liam turns 1 on August 3. I can’t believe it’s been a whole year! He’s such a bubbly little guy with lots of personality and he loves people. He’s been walking for a couple months and loves to eat everything! He also loves playing at the water park and going on the big slides with his daddy. My mom made him a blankie and that is his favorite blankie. He rolls around in it and gets all twisted in the blankie as he makes these cute little “mmmm” sounds. He claps on cue and says “Daddy” over and over and over. I’m not too sure he knows what he’s saying yet though. We are going to celebrate his birthday this weekend with the whole family. I will be sure to post pictures from that next week.
We thought of a few fun things to get him for his birthday like the Cozy Coupe or the Push and Ride Car, but we ended up getting the Batman Power Wheels. I think he’s going to love it or if he doesn’t then Ryan will! It will be fun to see what he thinks of his new toy.
I can’t believe my little man is going to be 1! Mommy loves you Liam!!

The other day we were at Harmon’s. While in the check out line Liam started to scream/yell at something. (He is very vocal.) The cashier commented on Liam’s “spunk” and I told him that Liam tends to make those screams when he sees a flag or a balloon. Those types of things get him all jazzed up. So the cashier asked if Liam would like a balloon and I of course said yes – a blue one please! Liam spent the afternoon playing, rolling, and trying to bite his magnificent balloon. He was on Cloud 9 for sure!

My birthday was February 15 and my hubby treated me to some fantastic gifts! Well for starters on Valentine’s Day he got me the most beautiful, aromatic roses ever! They look and smell so fantastic! Then I got a Giada De Laurentis cookbook because I am obsessed with her show on Food Network. I try to emulate her when I’m in the kitchen and I love her recipes! Then he got me a nice tripod and a REALLY nice lens for my camera. I’ve been wanting this lens for quite some time just haven’t wanted to fork out the dough for the dang thing. So I am very lucky he got this for my birthday! I decided to try it out and who should I take pictures of…but my new buddy and son – LIAM! Liam is so happy when he wakes up from his naps. He talks, rolls around, and chews/drools all over his blankie. So I decided to take some photos of him in the crib. Then Liam has found that he has a great friend when he looks in the mirror. He smiles and his friend smiles back, he tilts his head and his friend does the same. He gets a kick out of this as do I. So I let him play with my little cosmetic mirror and got a few fun photos of him playing with that. It was a great day and Liam was a fabulous model!
Christmas and other things
Can I just start by saying Christmas is so much more fun with a child. Even a 5 month old child. It really is! Liam got a couple darling ties for church (from http://peanutposh.com), clothing, reptile puppets, a sled and more clothes from his grandparents and great grandparents. We love it all!! I need to take a picture of Liam with his tie. It’s 100% adorable. I can’t wait until the day that Santa visits our house for Liam. That will be something!!
January has been cold, gray and COLD! Utah and the inversion that happens in the valley makes for ugly scenery this time of year. Thank heaven for my gym membership to keep me pumped and motivated. I love going there. AND…We were very fortunate to head to Snowmass CO to go skiing a couple weekends ago. It was one extremely awesome experience for me! Ryan’s been many times but I never had. I love Snowmass. That resort is amazing. The upkeep of the runs and the vastness of the mountain is crazy sweet. I hope we get to back again next year. Liam did a fabulous job on the car ride. He slept for a majority of the time and it made the drive to and from so much less stressful than I thought it would be! Thanks sweet baby boy.
My birthday is coming up…February 15. I can’t believe I am so near to the end of my 20′s. So sad, but life has treated me so well so far. I can’t complain.
We did it again!
We went to another pumpkin patch on October 30. This time was with Ryan’s family at the pumpkin patch in Santaquin…
